In the 2nd minute, Helmut Müllerwiebus made a precise shot to the right of Cankut Mansız. Cankut Mansız was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The STRATEJİ 48 fans' excitement grew in the 9th match minute when STRATEJİ 48's Roy Makaay looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a defensive mix-up in Kurucesme SK's zone, Yasin Baba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cankut Mansız came out of the goal and Yasin Baba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Kurucesme SK defense, Helmut Müllerwiebus kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cankut Mansız. The Kurucesme SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cankut Mansız should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roy Makaay in the 19th minute of play forced Kurucesme SK's goalkeeper Cankut Mansız to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Aybars Onursay put it in 0-5 from a short distance just to the right of Cankut Mansız. Kurucesme SK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roy Makaay was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-9. After a defensive mix-up in Kurucesme SK's zone, Yasin Baba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cankut Mansız came out of the goal and Yasin Baba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Helmut Müllerwiebus put it in 0-10 from a short distance just to the right of Cankut Mansız. After 47 minutes of play, STRATEJİ 48's Roy Makaay made it 0-11 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cankut Mansız was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-11 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Helmut Müllerwiebus was the one to do the kick off. Helmut Müllerwiebus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 62nd minute Roy Makaay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cankut Mansız saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute, Helmut Müllerwiebus made a precise shot to the right of Cankut Mansız. Kurucesme SK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-13. STRATEJİ 48's Roy Makaay was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 66th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. STRATEJİ 48 made a substitution. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aybars Onursay got free with Cankut Mansız in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. STRATEJİ 48's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Billy Carr in the 83rd minute. The corner led to STRATEJİ 48's Stephen Manojo getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 86 minutes into the match, Kurucesme SK's goal looked a bit too open when Helmut Müllerwiebus came free, but Cankut Mansız reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute Aybars Onursay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cankut Mansız saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cankut Mansız made an important save on a dangerous shot by Billy Carr in the 91st minute. A hard shot 94 in the game by Helmut Müllerwiebus from a close distance when the talented Cankut Mansız managed to make a qualified save. Kurucesme SK's players were relieved. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Roy Makaay took a quick shot and it went in 0-18 without a chance for Cankut Mansız to make any attempt to save it. STRATEJİ 48 played a much better game than Kurucesme SK and deserved their victory. The Kurucesme SK players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
