Mano Manteca came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Sürmene's Selami İltekin. But to his dismay, Selami İltekin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Bedir Önateş made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdi Saygın Yağan in the 6th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Sürmene's Halit Bayrak got a free kick in the 9th minute. When Enes Ünsal came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the VEFA BESİKTAS SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Enes Ünsal couldn't finish the play. VEFA BESİKTAS SK's Tarık Tümcan suffered a concussion in the 13th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. 13 minutes into the game, Tarkan Turcan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sürmene's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave VEFA BESİKTAS SK the free kick. VEFA BESİKTAS SK's Ragıp Malkoç was substituted for Tarık Tümcan. The long shot by Janne Falcone in the 16th minute really tested Bedir Önateş's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Sürmene's Bedir Önateş proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Sürmene from getting a goal against them. In the 19th minute, Enes Ünsal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bedir Önateş was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 23rd minute, VEFA BESİKTAS SK's Enes Ünsal dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. Bedir Önateş took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erdi Dirayet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yavuz Selimhan Veziroğlu during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Sürmene's Yavuz Selimhan Veziroğlu got a free kick in the 46th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

Bedir Önateş showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enes Ünsal in the 73rd minute of the match.
