The audience was convinced that Vacid Tekalp's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Agah Çeliktaş was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Armağan Akgüngör made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arif Buğra Çağakan in the 29th minute of play. Agah Çeliktaş showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vacid Tekalp, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Mithat Rusuhi charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mithat Rusuhi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 40th minute, Mithat Rusuhi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vacid Tekalp in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Agah Çeliktaş prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
