Spectators: 6767 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1767, VIP seats: 0) Diss's Romesh Bhudraja started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Jaswant Rao shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sukhveer Bhuppal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 6 minutes into the game, Shankar Naik cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Anupriya Mirza was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 13 minutes into the match, Bengaluru Football Club's goalkeeper Anupriya Mirza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Shankar Naik. Romesh Bhudraja recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ahara Rudrappa in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sukhveer Bhuppal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Diss's zone, Jaswant Rao stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sukhveer Bhuppal came out of the goal and Jaswant Rao tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Ahara Rudrappa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Diss's Sukhveer Bhuppal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaswant Rao in the 25th minute of play. Jaswant Rao fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sukhveer Bhuppal having to interfere. Diss's Shankar Naik got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 44 played minutes Bengaluru Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Cetana Jadeja. In the 45th minute, Vijai Thiara made a precise shot to the right of Anupriya Mirza. Bengaluru Football Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ahara Rudrappa made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Shankar Naik had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anupriya Mirza. Bengaluru Football Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Shankar Naik was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. If Romesh Bhudraja had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alesa Mahal charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alesa Mahal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Bengaluru Football Club's Alesa Mahal got a free kick in the 64th minute. After having played for 68 minutes, Romesh Bhudraja managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Diss's supporters crossed their fingers, but Romesh Bhudraja was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Romesh Bhudraja managed to get in a good position for a shot. Diss's supporters rose to their feet, but Romesh Bhudraja was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anupriya Mirza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Shankar Naik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st minute, Romesh Bhudraja ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anupriya Mirza was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Jaswant Rao sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Shankar Naik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Anupriya Mirza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Diss's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
