Jonty Starling was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 9th minute Brandon Kaine shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aaron Ramsdal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Barnes Muggleton made in the 12th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Brandon Kaine immediately put the ball in play. Jonty Starling made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ollie Norwood in the 13th minute of play. Liverpool East FC's Jonty Starling played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ollie Norwood in the 16th minute of play. When Ollie Norwood came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Mount Pleasant FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ollie Norwood couldn't finish the play. After 20 minutes of play, Mount Pleasant FC's Ollie Norwood made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonty Starling was left in no man's land by his defense there! Aaron Ramsdal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brandon Kaine in the 24th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dallas Kuch in the 27th minute of play forced Liverpool East FC's goalkeeper Jonty Starling to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th match minute, Liverpool East FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alf Haegg to maneuver through the defense. 31 minutes into the game, Ollie Norwood cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Jonty Starling was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Dallas Kuch managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mount Pleasant FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dallas Kuch was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonty Starling breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 40 minutes in the game, Ollie Norwood dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Jonty Starling showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dale Clack, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Jonty Starling took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dale Clack, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Martyon Lorenz to make the kick off. With his leg Jonty Starling managed to avoid a goal in the 53rdth minute, when Mount Pleasant FC's Ollie Norwood fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jonty Starling was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dallas Kuch showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 58 minute of play. Dallas Kuch did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-7 to the left of a surprised Jonty Starling 61 minutes into the match. Benney Howie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Liverpool East FC made a substitution. Edmonds Johnson replaced Stephan Wivell. After 71 minutes, Ollie Norwood made it 0-8 with a short kick to the right side. Liverpool East FC's Jonty Starling tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 81 played minutes Mount Pleasant FC got a freekick which was hit by Boris Pegrum. Ollie Norwood took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonty Starling. Jonty Starling dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-9. In the 87th minute, Alf Haegg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 90 minutes into the match, Liverpool East FC's goalkeeper Jonty Starling had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dallas Kuch. 91 minutes into the match, Liverpool East FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ollie Norwood came free, but Jonty Starling reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Mount Pleasant FC's zone, Martyon Lorenz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aaron Ramsdal came out of the goal and Martyon Lorenz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match was over Mount Pleasant FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Liverpool East FC throughout the match.
