After a defensive mix-up in U21 Panama's zone, Theo Behringer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cesar Oberto came out of the goal and Theo Behringer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind U21 Panama's goalkeeper Cesar Oberto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. U21 Luxembourg's Stéphane Kubeck quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Luis Quirós, made in the 20th minute of the game. Karlheinz Ludecke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Garrido, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Dietrich Walch could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Cesar Oberto made a huge save. 34 minutes into the match, U21 Panama's goalkeeper Cesar Oberto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Theo Behringer. Alfred Schlim hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. In the 41st match minute, U21 Luxembourg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Theo Behringer to maneuver through the defense. 46 minutes into the match, Dietrich Walch notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of U21 Panama's Cesar Oberto. Cesar Oberto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Alex Garrido made the kick off in the second half. In the 61st minute Theo Behringer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesar Oberto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cesar Oberto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Theo Behringer in the 68th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind U21 Panama's goalkeeper Cesar Oberto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Theo Behringer in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cesar Oberto saved U21 Panama from getting behind. Theo Behringer's late challenge caught a U21 Panama's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Theo Behringer helped the player get up and apologised. Theo Behringer kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Karlheinz Ludecke made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lucho Chavez in the 81st minute. Karlheinz Ludecke made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Lucho Chavez sent off a good shot on target. Cesar Oberto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Theo Behringer in the 86th minute of the match. In the 94th minute, Alex Garrido got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
