The audience was convinced that Dragomir Roganović's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Koča Pantić was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. After 41 minutes of play, Serbia's Dušan Ajdarić made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Koča Pantić was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 46 played minutes Serbia got a freekick which was hit by Alimpije Mirković.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dragomir Roganović made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dragomir Roganović in the 56th minute of play forced Montenegro's goalkeeper Koča Pantić to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Montenegro getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Pujo Drobnjaković hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Montenegro's zone, Dragomir Roganović stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Koča Pantić came out of the goal and Dragomir Roganović tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Serbia getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Bogoboj Rašić hit a great ball. In the 94th minute of the match, Dragomir Roganović tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Koča Pantić saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Serbia's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
