An unexpectedly hard shot by Ishmael Ason in the 10th minute of play forced U21 Saudi Arabia's goalkeeper Shjae Al Sarraf to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th match minute, U21 Saudi Arabia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sror Dehrab to maneuver through the defense. Shjae Al Sarraf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amaya Maira, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jalal Al Ammar in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pol Laime saved U21 Peru from getting behind. If Mohammad Al Bahar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in U21 Saudi Arabia's zone, Amaya Maira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Shjae Al Sarraf came out of the goal and Amaya Maira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 24th minute U21 Saudi Arabia were awarded a corner. Mnawer Al Jalahma went to the cornerflag to take it. A collision led to U21 Saudi Arabia getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Adnan Al Motaire hit a great ball. In the 34th minute Jalal Al Ammar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pol Laime saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ishmael Ason's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Shjae Al Sarraf read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. U21 Saudi Arabia's Shjae Al Sarraf played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amaya Maira in the 41st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ishmael Ason in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Shjae Al Sarraf prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 44 minutes into the match, U21 Saudi Arabia's goal looked a bit too open when Ishmael Ason came free, but Shjae Al Sarraf reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. U21 Saudi Arabia's Shjae Al Sarraf played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amaya Maira in the 48th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Amaya Maira to make the kick off. After 53 minutes, Sror Dehrab mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the U21 Saudi Arabia and the U21 Peru players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of U21 Peru booed when U21 Saudi Arabia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sror Dehrab didn't get a good kick on the ball. David Olavarria's late challenge caught a U21 Saudi Arabia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. David Olavarria helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of U21 Saudi Arabia booed when U21 Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Olavarria didn't get a good kick on the ball. U21 Peru's Polentzi Fraile was substituted for David Olavarria. In the 57th match minute, U21 Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Olavarria to maneuver through the defense. When U21 Peru's Cruz Campano in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Polentzi Fraile kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. 68 minutes into the game, Cruz Campano lined in a short shot 0-1 behind a frustrated Shjae Al Sarraf. The supporters of U21 Peru booed when U21 Saudi Arabia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adnan Al Motaire didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rd minute, Cruz Campano fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Shjae Al Sarraf, passed just outside the right post. Ishmael Ason's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Shjae Al Sarraf firmly grabbed it by the left post. U21 Saudi Arabia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 74th minute, when Ishmael Ason scored to the left of an out of position Shjae Al Sarraf, making the score, 0-2. Ishmael Asons short, quick shot in the 82ndth minute got Shjae Al Sarraf to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, U21 Saudi Arabia's Ammar Al Khames got a free kick in the 83rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sror Dehrab in the 86th minute of play forced U21 Peru's goalkeeper Pol Laime to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ishmael Ason got free with Shjae Al Sarraf in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 92 minutes into the game, Polentzi Fraile recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Shjae Al Sarraf. Polentzi Fraile showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. In the 95thth minute of the game Cruz Campano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Saudi Arabia's Shjae Al Sarraf was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
