Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Recep Vatansever made the kick off which started today's match. Luxembourg's Trey Carlick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Odilon Baxter in the 4th minute of play. Recep Vatansever received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Enrique Frederick tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Neymar Barčas in the 10th minute of play forced Luxembourg's goalkeeper Trey Carlick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute, Neymar Barčas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Canada fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Trey Carlick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Neymar Barčas, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. A collision led to Canada getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Lamont Moïse hit a great ball. Enrique Frederick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Recep Vatansever in the 21st minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Canada's goal looked a bit too open when Recep Vatansever came free, but Enrique Frederick reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Luxembourg's goalkeeper Trey Carlick, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Enrique Frederick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mattias Pilgrim in the 31st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Odilon Baxter in the 38th minute of play forced Luxembourg's goalkeeper Trey Carlick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcus Battersby hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Trey Carlick showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Neymar Barčas in the 41st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Recep Vatansever in the 45th minute of play forced Canada's goalkeeper Enrique Frederick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Odilon Baxter struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Trey Carlick didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Canada. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Odilon Baxter to strike the kick off in the second half. 50 minutes into the match, Canada's Neymar Barčas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Trey Carlick narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 52 minutes had been played when some careless play by Luxembourg's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gonzalo Fremont was slow to take the kick. During this time Canada's players had a chance to rest. Trey Carlick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Odilon Baxter in the 55th minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, Luxembourg's goalkeeper Trey Carlick had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Neymar Barčas. Canada made a substitution. Kenneth Emerson replaced Neymar Barčas. Canada were awarded a corner in the 60th minute after Luxembourg's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gonzalo Fremont took the corner. Lamont Larivière was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Odilon Baxter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trey Carlick having to interfere. In the 65th minute, Richie Gipson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Canada's Hugues Guernon was substituted for Troy Holmes. An unexpectedly hard shot by Recep Vatansever in the 70th minute of play forced Canada's goalkeeper Enrique Frederick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kenneth Emerson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 73rdth minute, Trey Carlick skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 74 minutes into the match, Canada's goal looked a bit too open when Recep Vatansever came free, but Enrique Frederick reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, Luxembourg's Francis Sheene sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Enrique Frederick narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luxembourg's Trey Carlick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Odilon Baxter in the 77th minute of play. With his leg Trey Carlick managed to avoid a goal in the 78thth minute, when Canada's Kenneth Emerson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Odilon Baxter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 83 minutes into the match, Mattias Pilgrim had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Enrique Frederick. Canada's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mattias Pilgrim was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Kenneth Emerson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 88thth minute tested the skills of Trey Carlick when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Kenneth Emerson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Trey Carlick made a huge save. Enrique Frederick didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Recep Vatansever went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score.
