Canada's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mattias Pilgrim was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Kenneth Emerson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 88thth minute tested the skills of Trey Carlick when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Kenneth Emerson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Trey Carlick made a huge save. Enrique Frederick didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Recep Vatansever went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score.
